Academic Excellence Award

Right to education is one of the fundamental rights of every Indian citizen. Roorkee College of Engineering believes that money should not be a road blocker for any student with innovative ideas, passionate for academic achievements. A number of scholarships are offered to continuing students with the objective of encouraging them towards academic excellence. All Students who secure 75% and above marks in any Semester are given academic excellence award of 5000/- (Irrespective of number of students), subject to clearance of all subjects of any semester in first attempt. The list of students who got the scholarship of RCE Rs. 5000/- per student each semester.

The Roorkee College of Engineering has a gesture of goodwill to receive corpus fund. Professor Satyendra Mittal, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Civil Department Roorkee head instituted a corpus fund of rupees 51000/- In the memory of his father namely Shri Ramesh Chandra & his mother Smt. Laxmi Mittal for securing the highest marks in subject foundation engineering. In the memory of his father & mother two scholarship awards namely “RAMESH CHAND MEMORIAL AWARD” and “LAXMI MITTAL MEMORIAL AWARD” was instituted by college and corpus fund of rupees 51,000/- in the shape of FDR in the name of award was created. The medal with scholarship amount is being distributed in annual function Utkarsh every year for the student securing the highest marks in foundation engineering.
