A Basic knowledge of Fluid Mechanics is essential for all the petroleum engineers as they frequently come across a variety of problems involving flow of fluids, transportation of fluids etc. This laboratory is used for experimentation on the behaviour of fluids.

Heat Transfer Lab have various heat transfer equipment to demonstrate the different modes of heat transfer and evaporation processes.

5. Thermal conductivity To determine the thermal conductivity of a given fluid sample
6. Steffan’s Law To determine emissivity using Stefan’s Law on radiation

Ground Surveying Lab

Surveying Lab is used for surveying exercises and is equipped with all latest instrumentation viz levels, total stations, and GPS receivers sets for conducting ground surveying works.

Numerical methods lab focused on the various types of numerical techniques to those involves approximations due to either limits in the algorithms or limits in computer hardware. The goal of this lab is the realization of the necessity of numerical methods.

This lab shares costly equipment and resources, which are otherwise available to limited number of users due to constraints of time and geographical distances.
